Kauai Planning and Action Alliance: Community Indicators Project, "Measuring What Matters for Kauai"
An Advisory Committee composed of key leaders from state, local and federal government agencies, nonprofits and community groups, and the business community has been formed to establish a draft set of indicators to measure and track important trends on Kauai to determine if we are progressing as an island in accordance with the vision set forth in Kauai's General Plan Update 2000. Kauai Tourism Strategic Plan
Funded by the Hawaii Tourism Authority and coordinated in cooperation with the County, this plan will complement the Hawaii Tourism Strategic Plan and include a three-year action plan specific to Kauai.

Kauai Economic Development Plan 2005-2015
Ongoing implementation in progress among a variety of organizations, including the County of Kauai, the Food Industry Forum, the Kauai Health and Wellness Association, the Kauai Economic Development Board, the Kauai Planning and Action Alliance, and the Kauai Workforce Investment Board.

The Kapaa-Wailua Development Plan
The Poipu-Koloa Development Plan process will be launched shortly, and the County plans to fund the Eleele – Hanapepe Development Plan in fiscal year 2007.
